The certified solution to improve the situational awareness of the pilot
Swiss Helicopter Engineering has developed and certified in cooperation with Swiss Helicopter Maintenance (www.shm-ag.ch) the installation of Radar Altimeter system based on two possible equipment: Garmin GRA-55 RT unit with GI 205 indicator or Collins ALT-50A RT unit with 339H-4 indicator. Both the configurations use S67-2002 antennas. The installation features external antennas integrated in the tail boom; RT unit integrated below the baggage compartment floor through dedicated supports and indicator in the instrument panel.
